Milania turned 1 on July 2 & we got to celebrate on her birthday!! I came up with the theme boho elephant + blueberries because in her room I have an elephant print & her favorite food are blueberries. Taylour came up with the amazing invite & other printable items that were used at the party. I then dove right into planning her outfit for the party. June Park has the most perfect bloomers and shift top - that I want her to wear it every day if she would just keep it clean :)
The cake I wanted to be very simple & something that would make the blueberries pop. Giant Eagle did an amazing job - I took them photo of the cake and it turned out just how I had envisioned. I then added the blueberries.
For food I of course wanted to stick with the blueberry theme. We have a local ice cream shop here that's called Diamonds Ice Cream. They made us blueberry mini popsicles & the larger size were cream & blueberry flavor. The day of the party wasn't that hot, but the popsicles still tasted amazing! Other food items I incorprated were blueberry bagels, blueberry sweet cream cheese, blueberry muffins, blueberries with goat cheese & honey.
I then had a coloring station that was fun for the kids & adults (our daughters love the new coloring books that look like kaleidoscopes - there is something so zen like about them). We also had a balloon artist come for the first hour & the kids had a wonderful time with because they could choose their ballon & play with it the rest of the party. The big hits were the elephant, laser gun, & princesses.
Time for the smash cake!! Thank you so much to Meredith at Auburn & Ivory for making & decorating the arch for Milania to be under for her smash cake, it truly made everything come together for her party!!!
Our thank you gift to everyone was a potted plant. We painted the pots white then dipped them in blue nail polish to come with the water color look to match the invites. You can find the tutorial here on pinterest.
This party was so fun to plan & use local Columbus vendors - if you ever need help with a party everyone involved is great to use!!
