|The Best Journey Always Takes Us Home|

This JOURNEY we are on started off while I lived in Atlanta and Jonah was at Coast Guard Boot Camp in Cape May NJ. This picture is on the day of his graduation. We drove back to Ohio & got engaged that weekend <3

His next station was in Portsmouth, VA where he was gone up to 3 months at a time. Thankfully he wasn't at that station long before he went to A School (culinary school for the Coast Guard) in Petaluma, CA.

I was so happy to be able to go out to Petaluma, CA to see him graduate from A School. During this time he was given a list of places that would be his next station & we chose Kodiak, AK.

Never in a million years did I think we would end up in Alaska, but we made the best of it. We went fishing, camping, saw ice bergs, puffin, whales, & bears. The best part was when I had the opportunity to fly on one of the dolphin helicopters to participate in Santa to the Villages.

We came to Kodiak as newlyweds and I never thought we would leave with a child, but it was the best thing that ever happen to us!

Our first summer in Milwaukee, WI. We were so happy to be back in the lower 48/closer to family & friends. We had so many visitors it was fun to show everyone around and find new places to eat. We also added another little lady to our bunch and so happy that Alessia & Juliana are along on this adventure with us.

We will be leaving Milwaukee, WI in June to to start our next chapter in the family jOURney. We have decided to move back to OHIO. This decision took us up until the last minute because we really wanted to go back to Georgia for warmer weather, closer to beaches, my brother & his family live there. But we also knew we have many friends and family in Ohio. It was a very difficult decision, but Jonah had to tell his Coast Guard Reservist Detailer where we had picked so he can get signed up at a close location to serve in the reserves.

We will move June 1 out of our house in Milwaukee and head to Ohio. We are currently looking for a house in Columbus, OH & on the job hunt. I told Jonah from the minute we decided to get out of the Coast Guard that I have to enjoy this time and not freak out that I can't plan everything. He has to keep me in check some times because this isn't easy for me or him & we want to make this a smooth transition for the girls, especially Alessia. Yes I know things can always change at the last minute(military has me brained washed with that), but this is our game plan!

Here is the quote I have put on my phone background screen.
